Very impressive - unassuming restaurant but absolutely packed with locals on a Thursday afternoon. Special mention for the saffron risotto and osso bucco. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth oxtail with a good mix of fat, meat and bone marrow. Risotto was a perfect accompaniment - flavourful, velvety texture, separate grains of rice, and still had a good bite to them. Pasta was also fantastic!

‼️BRIEFLY ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible restaurant, very lovely atmosphere and good Milanese food! ❗Make sure to book in advance 🍚 RISOTTO AL SALTO ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I guess I would recommend it if you already tried the original Risotto alla milanese. Maybe not the best one I tried because was a bit too crunchy but those are personal tastes! ❓ The easiest way to explain the dish is to imagine the typical Risotto alla milanese (rice cooked with saffron) to which eggs are added and then fried is fried. 🥩 COTOLETTA ALLA MILANESE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ While not the largest I've ever eaten it was surely among the best. Very tender and tasty! ❓Made from a veal cut crusted with breadcrumbs and then fried in 🧈 butter. Usually very tender. 👥 SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐ While once the food was ordered it got there fast enough the initial order took a bit longer ⌚. 🛋️ ATMOSPHERE 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I think the atmosphere of the restaurant was simply perfect! The furniture was surely a fit for the restaurant and the space 🌌 between the tables was enough.

A very typical Osteria very close to Porta Romana. I have ordered "Insalata di Nervetti" and "Risotto allo Zafferano con Ossobuco", traditional dishes right from the heart of Milan. Delicious and sizeable portions too! Add to this that you can choose between tens of different wines, one for every palate, plus tens of different liquors and grappa! The place can get rather busy on a Saturday night, booking in advance is strongly recommend. Probably my new favourite place where to have dinner in Milan!
